For my final project, I would like to put together a collection of semi-autobiographical pieces in a style similar to Ada Lìmon’s Bright Dead Things. The project would be focused on the process of leaving and losing one’s home, in both the physical and the emotional sense, and on the changing dynamics of the nuclear family when the family unit unravels. The pieces would most likely be a combination of stychic poems, short prose poems, and flash fiction.
