in-class writing

I'll answer any questions you have.

Books in their usual positions
Spread across the dining room table
But it didn’t feel like the usual school night
Because she was out of town.

1,800 miles west with girlfriends
Wearing matching t-shirts
what happens in the Boat stays in the Boat

Not knowing an iPhone could be
as unfaithful as its master
Tattling to the landline.
Coming across like a loudspeaker
In the laundry room.

How spooky it is
A haunted house

When the ghost looks just like dad

  1. There is definitely a story here, and you have intrigued us with hints of it. That last line is perfect. We don't know where she is, or what is happening (precisely), but something that perhaps should not be. I loved the simile of the loudspeaker in the laundry room.
